This auction features the American clock collection of Larry Rappaport of New York.

American clocks include all of the great American weight regulators {Seth Thomas #7, 15, 19 and 32}, plus Gilbert #6, 7, 10 & 11, plus Welch #5, 7, 9, 11, 12, G, 5E, etc. Also rare Welch calendars, including Gale short drop, Cal #3, 5, and hanging Wagner. Space simply does not permit a full listing. 700 clocks, all fully illustrated and described in catalog.

Rooms at the Holiday Inn [603-625-1000] are around $89 for single or double {$149 without advance reservation}. Make your reservation early, as we expect a large crowd for this once in a lifetime opportunity. [UPDATE: as of this writing (April 2), the Holiday Inn is OUT of rooms; however, the Ramada Inn {603-669-2660} and the Econo Lodge {603-624-0111} have rooms in Manchester, and just 7 miles south on 93 at exit 5, the new Sleep Inn {603-425-2110} is a prime choice.]

A NOTE ON RESTORATION

About 80% of the clocks that pass through our hands are 100 to 150 years old. The other 20% are both younger and older. Not all antiques have received the same care over this time and some of the clocks require work, or have had to be refinished, re-dialed, tablets replaced, or cabinets reglued. Since this work has been done prior to our receiving the item(s), we've had no control over the quality of the workmanship. However, we will always try our best to indicate the level of restoration and any replaced hardware. Restored clocks are still collectible and depending on their rarity, may offer you a chance to acquire a rare item at a reduced price. Our price estimates reflect the condition as explained for each lot.
