1. C.1900, rare movement assembly, Seth Thomas. This is a factory open 'scape movement with porcelain dial. Note the dial has "SETH THOMAS" fired in the center, minor hairlines in dial. Mov't resembles a round #120 with count wheel strike; note lot includes sash and rear cover, straps for 5" depth with 5" opening. $60-90
2. C.1960, German, large novelty alarm clock with unique center seconds hand. Dial has name "Blessing" and outer case is painted bright red. Ht 10.5" $20-30
3. C.1900, movement and dial, Seth Thomas, No. 48N, from a full size 11" crystal regulator. Note this model has brass spring covers and rack striking. Fancy porcelain dial is perfect; movement is dirty; dia = 4.125" $50-80
4. C.1850, American & Swiss, musical movement. This is a purpose built American open spring movement with 3" x 6" plates that was specially made to drive a Swiss 2-tune, 2" cylinder mov't. The comb is complete with no broken tips, however tune change arm is missing, and a few of the pins are bent. Still a useful movement that works OK as is. $125-175
5. C.1840, movement only, Vienna 2-weight, time & strike, 8-day, LESS dial and gong. The wheels are complete & 80 beat mov't ticks and clicks appropriately; nice quality hand made movement. 5" $120-160
6. C.1800, movement +dial, English 30 hour chain/rope, with 12" painted iron dial, with simple calendar. Note the crutch is broken off, there are no hands, and bell is "dead". Decent parts. 12" $175-225
7. C.1838, case +dial, J. C. Brown, Bristol. This pillar & splat transitional case has its' share of wear & bruises, but has a near perfect label of Forestville Mfg. Co. A good case that is worth restoring. 31" $75-125
8. C.1875, a Welch "Carey" case, now with a Seth Thomas #33 1-day T/S movement (on blocks). The rosewood case is nice & complete with all of "hot dogs" on top, missing only 2 small rear finials for top "hot dogs". _o label. A "marriage" that runs. 20.5" $300-400
9. C.1870, French, open 'scape movement with 4.5" porcelain dial & bezel with sash for 5.25 case opening. Note one wind hole grommet is loose (tied on), and with bell & 9" pendulum. Good dial $75-100
10. Box lot of 17 Korean movements, 31 day, as-found. These are basically complete mov'ts -- warranty take outs from a RI firm. Bid for EACH $1--3
11. C.1942 (dated) Hamilton Watch Co, Model 22 "Chronometer Watch" or deck watch in original brass tub with fittings for gimbals, the whole in a USN aluminum shipping container. Note you need an outer box with gimbals to complete this unit. Clean +sound. Diameter = 2.75" $250-300
11-a. C.1910, Seth Thomas movement assembly #72B, complete with weights, pulleys, gong on echo board, and bob (no stick). The dial has some wear around the chapter ring, but may be used as-is. Height 15.5" $250-350
11-b. C.1890, Sign from the Waltham Watch Co., Waltham, Mass. this sign is one sided, from one of the major buildings and is very large" width = 74", ht = 62". The gold leaf is still in very good condition, even the lower part that says "First American Watch" The black will need restoring. $400-500
11-c. C.1950, Lux Clock Mfg., Waterbury, Conn. (as-new) Pendulette #303 "Clown Clock" with a beach ball bouncing back and forth between 2 seals. This clock is new, in the box, no evidence of having been wound or run. The red/green/black paint is as made, untouched. The cardboard box cover has some stains and fading. Box dim = 6 x 8", clock = 7" $200-400
12. C.1920, German, a pressed glass & spelter Empire style case with an American canister mov't from the same period. The movement seems to run; height 15.5" $50-75
13. C.1890, German, a spring driven wall regulator with cream colored porcelain dial and "R-A" pendulum center. The top is home-made from plywood and stock finials. Right column with some wood worm. Runs and strikes OK. Ht 38" $100-150
14. C.1910, Waterbury Clock Co., "Conductor" carriage clock with replacements. Note the rear door has been newly made from a sheet of brass and one case finial replaced with a plain machine nut; still runs and repeats fine; height 4.5" $50-75
15. C.1840, Boardman & Wells, 30 hour WW pillar clock (now without splat). The case is weathered, has no stenciling and the label about 1/3 missing. Original dial was crudely reblacked some time ago. Running; height 28" $50-75
16. C.1870, Seth Thomas, 8-day Column & Cornice. This clock has a nice Plymouth Hollow (signed) lyre weight movement and a good Thomaston label. The dial has been repainted; some chips in mahogany veneer. Wrong center tablet is colorful; height 32.5" $275-375
17. C.1855, Unsigned 30 hour cottage in original as-found condition. Note alarm spring is broken and the minute hand replaced. Otherwise a very cute cottage; nice beginner item that would restore with a minimum of work; ht 10" $90-120
18. C.1930, German, mahogany tambour with cross-band inlay. Note this clock has been restored, the case refinished (to hide some blemishes) and the dial is an acetate over paper (imitation porcelain). Despite the imperfections, it seems to run & chime fine; height 10" $50-70
19. C.1950, English, Smith's Clock Co., animated alarm clock in MINT condition. The hen at left pecks at grain around her brood of chicks. Cute clock; height 5" $50-75
20. C.1960, Wm. L. Gilbert, pressed oak 8-day gingerbread. The case has been stripped & could stand a little more finish. Dial repapered; complete & sound. Height 23" $100-150
21. C.1930, Gilbert 8-day lever banjo, with printed farm scene in lower frame. The top "chimney" is gone and eagle is screwed to top of case; mov't ticks & stops; height 24" $40-60
22. C.1880 (Lot of 2) Swiss cylinder music boxes <incomplete>. One 4-tune w/ 3.5" cyl, the other a 6-tune with 6" cyl. Note both are missing governor flies and worm gears, both are missing several teeth and tips. For Parts Only. The cabinets seen sound & usable; 11.5 x 4" and 14 x 6" $200-300 all
23. C.1935, Sessions Clock Co., "Halifax" banjo in original kitchen green. Note movement has been replaced with another old open spring job, dial repapered; throat with NAWCC bulletin; a decorator only, 27" $40-60
24. C.1972, German, for Horolovar, NY, repro of the famous Ignatz flying pendulum clock. This clock runs but the horizontal arm carrying the string has been incorrectly repaired with epoxy; ht 6" $50-75
25. C.1910, Seth Thomas "Tudor", mahogany mantle clock. This clock has been cleaned & runs, however it had taken a fall & the porcelain dial center was broken (now patched) Wrong hands; ht 9" $60-90

31. C.1940, Chelsea, black Bakelite cased ship's timepiece. The rear flange with a chip; otherwise a clean clock in good running order; diameter = 7" $100-150
32. C.1930, German, Oak cased box clock with 3-rod "ding-dong" strike. The case has been stripped & lightly rubbed with Danish. Clock is running & striking fine; a nice beginner's clock. height 23" $100-150
33. C.1870, Gilbert 30 hour OG. Depite being stripped, this is a very attractive clock with exceptional rosewood. Best part is original tablet with a pair of nesting birds; xlnt label; a worthy clock; ht 25" $150-200
34. C.1925, Seth Thomas, Mini Lyre banjo with original reverse painted tablets (Union shield throat and harbor fort bottom). Note the case was painted and has been stripped & refinished, and the corners are a bit rounded. Still a running clock in good condition; height 20.5" $125-175
35. C.1930, New Haven, "Waring" Banjo, 8-day with rod strike. This full size banjo has had some work: the eagle has been replaced with a nice all-brass version, and the lower tablet is now clear with a Catterall cardstock print. Case finish is xlnt; ht 36" $175-225
36. C.1875, Wm. L. Gilbert, 30 hour time & alarm cottage clock. Cute octagon top case is rosewood with original finish. Minor chips & cracks in veneer; some chips on gesso door; xlnt label; wrong minute hand; height 11" $120-150

38. C.1930, Ingraham, short drop faux grained timepiece in nice restored condition. Note the dial has been repapered. Clock retains xlnt graining & super label; height 18" $125-175
39. C.1950, German, Desk Clock, maroon over polished brass, with singing bird alarm (and bird in console cage beside clock). The clock works, but the bird does not sing -- has plastic +rubber bellows mechanism that needs attention; ht 4" $90-120
40. C.1960, German, Green Onyx Desk Set (with pens) and original "Scottco" one day alarm clock with center seconds and a simple calendar. Nice novelty. Width = 10" $30-50
41. C.1950, German, Animated Singing Birds (3), with a 4th bird in swing above. Note this unit has plastic +rubber bellows in need of attention -- will require more parts to sing. However when you are done, you'll have a unique piece; ht 8" $150-200
42. C.1910, German, Hunter Style Cuckoo, 30-hour. Original factory painted figures; clock needs cleaning, bellows need recovering and needs wood +carving on antlers. Ht 24" $125-175
43. C.1920, E. Howard & Co., Boston, good 6v. DC slave with 11" painted dial. Oak case diameter = 17"; finish original; use with a master or install a conventional movement; $75-125
44. 20th Century, Unknown Origin: Unique pressed brass likeness of a young lady's head, with a small German spring motor that causes a hand painted eye to move slowly back & forth. Interesting but not high quality; needs some adjusting; ht 12" $150-200
45. C.1900, German, Painted Dial Clock, as-found, less weights & pend. Note the wooden dial has 3 vertical cracks and has been reinforced from the rear. Dial paint retouched; movement complete; ht 13.5" $75-100
46. C.1900, E. N. Welch, 8-day black mantle clock. This clock has been restored and has a new back (less metal dust cover. The top has been freshly brushed over with black enamel, and the hands do not match. Case trim OK; runs; height 11.5" $40-50
47. C.1840, Austrian: A small carved alabaster case with a 1-day fusee verge watch movement (appears original to bezel and case). The case has some cracks and is missing top rh corner, but is still a cute decorator. Generally good cond, and mov't ticks; ht 11" $175-275
48. C.1955, Lux Clock Co., Waterbury, unusual World Time clock, as-found. This is the same movement as the regular "tape" clocks we see, but with gearing for 24 hour (versus 12) rotation. The dial is printed from 1 to 12 twice and indicates the time in all major cities. Note globe is separated at center seam; ht 16" $175-275
49. C.1955, German Gravity Clock. This well made repro of a "1750" model descends a saw toothed bar as it runs. At the end of the week, raise the clock to wind. Has a small "cow's tail" pendulum in front of dial. Clock ticks but is dirty +will not stay running; height 26" $175-275
50. C.1950, Lux "Town Hall" novelty clock, incomplete. When clock strikes on 2 loud bells, the brass bell in the belfry swings back and forth. The clock lacks stick for cast "book" pendulum bob, and is missing rear dust cover; also weight hooks bent; otherwise OK; height 18" $200-300
51. C.1955, German, A. Schmid-Schlenker, Jr., "Flower Clock". Note the movement is in the base and the power travels up the stem through a wire to the tiny watch dial in the center of the flower. Dusty and with minor wear, but ticks OK; ht 7" $175-275
52. C.1880, Ansonia "Cottage", 8-day walnut shelf clock in clean condition. Clock retains original swan tablet and original dial w/ minor wear at 12 + 5. Note the minute hand is too short, but otherwise this is a good complete clock w/ nice label; ht 13" $150-200
53. C.1865, New Haven "Octagon Prize", 30 hour cottage clock in very clean condition. the rosewood veneer is in good shape, tablets + dial original and has a decent label. Minor wear to gilding around door edge; a good beginner's clock; ht 15" $125-175
54. C.1890, French, Inlaid Mahogany Bracket clock. The case has been nicely refinished and with a couple of minor waves in veneer. Five inch porcelain dial is perfect and the hands are beautiful hand tooled brass. 8-day T/S on gong. There are some imperfections along top of return moldings; otherwise xlnt; ht 13" $175-275
55. C.1970, Dutch, modern Staartklok (aka Friesland), this one made entirely in Holland, and so marked on both case & movement. A nice repro with rolling moon, and nice cast spandrels and hands; runs and strikes fine. 8-day, 2-wt; ht 27" $175-225
56. C.1910, A lot of 2 wall cases only, formerly with Vienna regulator movements. One with heavy beveled glass set in a brass frame -- also with a new top that does not match. Heights = 35" & 40" $175-225 both
57. C.1900, German, fancy walnut mantle clock, with restorations. Has perfect porcelain dial w/ matte brass center. The case with a full column at each corner has been refinished and the tips of the top finials have been broken off. Doesn't look bad; ht 14.5" $250-300
58. C.1870, Anglo-American Round Drop time & strike school clock, the dial rubbed a bit at 4 +5 and a couple of nicks in the case. Runs & strikes the hours on a gong; ht 27" $175-275
59. C.1920, Seth Thomas "Abbey" in a mahogany case. The top molding received some shipping damage in the 2 o'clock area; otherwise a great little clock with good porcelain dial & running 15 day mov't; ht 10" $150-200
60. C.1920, German, 2-wt Cuckoo, Grape & Leaf motif with a large case. Case lacks top leaf trim, was overhauled some time ago and has new bellows tops, but still needs a movement clean; Has large cast movement marked "DHS"; dial dia= 5" $175-225

67. C.1903 (dated) Gilbert "No. 437" Parlor China clock in medium green. Note the outer bezel +dial have been changed with another old set-up (looks OK), and does not lne up with F/S adjust rod. 70. C.1919, Seth Thomas Adamantine, like "Keswick", only this one is all tan/brown, marbleized finished. This clock is clean and sound with original dial, hands, pend, gong & case hardware; ht 10.75" $90-120
71. C.1935, Unmarked, but has Ingraham pendulum & hands. This is a late economy line kitchen clock, made of half inch oak with some cut patterns. A note on the back says it was cleaned 9/96, but judging the green goop oozing from the movement, I question the level of service; does run; ht 22" $75-100
72. C.1910, E. Ingraham & Co., Rare Civil War Commemorative oak gingerbread. This clock has ebonized +gilt panels, the top one with draped flags of 13 stars each, flanked by 2 union shields. The tablet has black powder cannon, stacked rifles, sword and a trumpet and the pendulum has a Union Solder seated on a camp chair. Despite a discolored dial and dirty mov't, this is certainly our "Saturday Nite Special". With partial rear label and original Ingraham key; ht 23" $200-400
73. C.1880, New Haven, Mini 30 Hour OOG, T/S/Alarm with original dial & label. The case is refinished; veneer at top needs redoing; tablet new; height 19" $125-175
74. C.1940, Self Winding Clock, NY, a late model #29 wall clock of poplar with maple stain. Original dial with some flaking. This clock is from storage, is complete but needs cleaning; ht 21" $100-150
75. C.1930, German "Box Clock". In the period from 1918--1938, Germany produced these clocks in large quantities and they turn up everywhere from Seattle to Moscow. This example has a 3-rod bim-bam strike; door glass is plain; original dark oak finish OK; height 30" $125-175
76. C.1910, Seth Thomas, Office Drop T/S/Alarm in mahogany. We don't find a listing for this particular model. the alarm lever, set dial, time dial and alarm mechanism (behind lower door) are original to this case. The case has been abused and is poorly refinished and with home made lower tablet of GW; ht 25" $175-275
77. C.1905, French, for the English market, finely carved Eastlake style clock with barometer. The light walnut base wood is attractively accented with black paint in all the recessed areas. The clock is a round time only 8-day with cylinder platform intact; winding arbor is rounded +needs dressing; dial discolored; 19" $300-500
78. C.1900, mixed figural clock: a New Haven base and tower, now with a Waterbury open 'scape movement. The figure of Newton, with his globe & quill is quite desirable. Case painted gold with a brush some time ago. If you have the parts to perform a "heart transplant", end up with $700 clock; ht 15.5" $275-375
79. C.1910, New Haven Clock Co., rare desk clock in as-found cond. See new Haven book by Ly, fig 1709. This is model #1008. Lacks following parts: winding knob, set knob, alarm bell & minute hand; height 7.5" $90-120
80. C.1900, American cast iron door stop with clock: "Dog in House with Sunflowers". This clock is in nice condition & running (minor stains on dial). Very cute; height 11" $250-350
81. C.1858, H. J. Davies, NY. "Young America" milk glass dial timepiece. Note lower left corner (size of dime) is broken away +chipped above; good label and runs OK; ht 7" $150-200
82. C.1890, French Polychrome over spelter novelty in unique musical motif. The clock is in the "drum"; man with drum stick, girl singing & with tambourine. Dial has new acetate/paper cover; ht 11.5" $400-500
83. C.1875, New Haven "12 Inch Octagon Drop", T/S in rosewood. This clock was refinished long ago (scraper left marks) and now crazed & orange peeled again. The veneer with some chips. Had neat label with extra over-stamp: "Pat June 13, 1871". Overall a very good clock. Height 24" $250-350
84. C.1910, English "Big Ben" souvenir picture clock. Has small round 30 hour pin pallet lever mov't that is quite dirty. Frame is loose & needs regluing. Still and all, what is there is original & restorable. W=21", ht=28" $250-350
85. C.1900, French, Accent Strut Clock, the dial in gold leaf, fired into a quality china tray, a formally dressed lady with fan on the left and a bearded lad in tights +with sword on the right. The underside of the tray is curled up in a full roll at each corner; 8-day platform movement; ht 10" $200-300
86. C.1920, One Hand Clock Co., Warren, Penna, note we have all 3 sizes in the sale. This small one has an old statue base as a stand, however the dial is MINT; diameter is 7" $125-175

89. C.1980 (modern) reproduction calendar clock, time movement on top, with a new BB Lewis style lower mechanism. The pine case is stained a honey color, and note the paper dial is on crooked; ht 34" $150-200
90. C.1967 (movement dated) W.German 2-weight repro Staartklok, for the Dutch market. the hand painted dial is well done, with a windmill in the arch; oak veneer case is sound 8-day T/S; height 32" $125-175
91. C.1900, Seth Thomas "Long Alarm", the extra long alarm spring powering a clacker against a large iron bell in the base. They must have sold a million of these. Note original dial is dark with oil & age; generally in good cond; ht 9" $30-50
92. C.1900, Waterbury Green Porcelain china clock, "Parlor No. 88" with gold accents. The only reason this clock is selling Saturday is that the bezel has come unsoldered from the sash (an easy repair). The case is clean, with no chips and mov't runs; ht 10.5" $200-300
93. C.1980, A home made shelf banjo with a good Kilbourne & Proctor banjo movement complete. OK, so this mahogany case won't win an award for beauty, the movement and parts alone must be worth our estimate; ht 36" $275-375
94. A Circa 1860 unsigned American blinker movement in good condition, now in a modern Aluminum "John Bull" case. There is no bezel, dial is paper; no hands; best part is it runs and blinks great; ht 15.5" $300-400
95. C.1890, a robust English fusee movement in a kit form skeleton frame C.1930. The movement itself has 5 spoke wheels throughout. The frame was influenced by a Manchester design (see Royer-Collard, fig 2-3), and includes a well made walnut and glass cover with base; height 19" $500-700
96. C.1870, Terry Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn. Ever popular black iron front with traces of gold pin striping. This particular clock has the rarer 8-day T/strike movement, and with original dial, hands & xlnt label. A good beginner's clock; height 8.75" $175-225
97. C.1930, Waltham Clock Co., exceptional quality double dial time only desk clock. Nice nickeled case in deco style; perfect dials. Luminous paint is flaking from hands; overall xlnt; ht 4" $250-350
98. C.1925, Herschede Hall Clock Co., Cinn, Oh, mantle tambour clock #2021, Westminster chiming on steel rods. This clock has been refinished and movement cleaned; original dial, hands, key & pend (at podium); overall very good cond; ht 10" $250-300
99. C.1890, E.N.Welch "Jewel" timepiece with original purple plush case. The case makes this 30 hour item a true "travel clock". Glass is amber - no chips; seems to run; the case with wear; ht 3.75" $90-120
100. C.1965, Seth Thomas (Tally Industries label), Ship's Strike "Helmsman on Base". This model with West German lever movement. The clock runs & strikes fine and is with key. A good clean ship's strike for the beginning collector ht 9" $175-275
101. C.1890, Ansonia "La Mine" Royal Bonn, open 'scape china clock in medium blue with yellow & magenta flowers. Note this case has a crack at 4 o'clock and the top "notch" has been chipped & repainted blue; porcelain dial with crack at 6, no pend; ht 14" $300-400

104. C.1870, French, a good quality ormolu and marble case, now with a German 30 hour fit up movement. The nicely chased statue of a young man with 2 flutes retains most the original gilding. Do you have a better movement? Height 12" $125-225
105. C.1880, French, picture frame clock, with large iron framed Morez repeating movement. The super porcelain dial has individual numeral signets in royal blue (on gilded shields). The outer frame has 3 cracks in the gesso and will need repair and refinishing; rest of clock OK: height 22" $325-425
106. C.1850, Forestville Mfg. Co., Bristol, Conn, eight day OG. The case has been refinished and is quite dark; the tablet is a new stencil job. Hands replaced. Orig dial and label are good. Full size 8-day mov't with unusually high arbors; ht 30" $175-225

209. C.1910, Waterbury "INO", Ladies Boudoir clock, gilded spelter with a panel showing a small boy playing with a winged cherub. Note the butterfly boy's head has been knocked off and glued on and will need additional attention; cute clock; ht 11" $100-125
210. C.1890, Seth Thomas "Greek", solid walnut parlor clock, as-found. Note the top is new and finial incorrect; dial repainted, old ST pendulum is not correct and a mouse chewed the inside of the case (shows when you open door) Still runs & strikes & can be improved; height 24" $150-200
211. C.1910, International Time Recorder, as-found. Someone adapted a Waterbury pendulum that works OK. The "drive shaft" from the time mov't to the date/time/punch mechanism is missing, as is the stamped steel dust cover for lower mech. Ht 36" $200-300
212. C.1900, German, Shelf Cuckoo, as-found; case lacks top, front and side trim and has no pend. However the heavy brass movement is an 8-day and has a large fusee for the strike train; worth restoring; height 17" $350-450
213. C.1900, Case Only, Waterbury "Parlor #91", with sash, bezel and porcelain dial. Color = brownish red. Condition = perfect. No dust cover; 10.5" $60-90

216. C.1850, Chauncey Jerome, 30 hour OG, as-found. this clock case needs a new bottom & has a chunk out in the rear where someone hung it. Has old dial C.1870, but not original to this clock. Still retains decent veneer and about 85% label and will make into a decent clock; height 26" $90-120
217. C.1875, Jerome & Co., (div. New Haven) 8-day cottage as found. This clock needs attention, as the dial is flaked, there are a couple of veneer chips in the door & case needs refinish. However it is a decent original piece; ht 13" $75-100
218. C.1950, Detex, 53 Park Pl., NY, portable watchman's clock, the "Patrol" model, complete with leather cover and carry strap. Ticks but lacks watchman's key. diam = 5.5" $50-70

220. C.1950, Belgian, "Heirman" Pigeon Timer. Certainly a very sophisticated instrument with slots for 14 pigeon tags and a self advancing roll to record the time. Needs service, but movement ticks OK. Would do well in Taiwan, as they race pigeons quite seriously; dim= 5 x 5 x 7" $125-175
221. C.1900, English Pigeon Timer. Uses round graph paper to record times (no paper with unit). Built solidly to withstand field use; does not tick; with a wooden carry box; height 8' $125-175
222. C.1870, Waterbury Clock Co., cast spelter front shelf clock, as-found. Note this had an Indian on top which is broken off & missing completely; strike bell replaced improperly. Has been sprayed gold; does run & strike; height 12" $60-90
223. C.1900, New Haven, mini black iron clock, with round #750 rack & snail 8-day movement. The case has been refinished with black spray paint & has some runs. Mov't clean and running; ht 11.5" $75-100

227. C.1850, Chanucey Jerome (W.S. Conant, NY label), 4-pillar New York style case. This clock has an original Fenn tablet, decent label & mov't, but that's it. Veneer is missing from every surface except the door, and the nice dial (Union Mfg) is from another clock; height 26" $75-100
228. C.1925, UK, Frivale "All British Clocks", oak cased 8-day mantle clock. The dial has been bent and straightened and reflector ring is bent as well. Still from a few feet it looks good +runs & strikes OK; 8" $25-35
