Saturday Lots
First Session, Saturday Eve, 5 PMWe recognize that the viewing time is short, compared to the large number of items, and we appreciate your taking care in handling the clocks. 125-a C.1875, Austrian, 3-weight grand sonnerie wall regulator. This is basically a good clock, but has suffered some recent mis-handling: someone forced the quarter strike to turn in the wrong direction and snapped off the tip of the lifting arm. Only a clockmaker familiar with Viennas [or who has a box of spare Vienna parts] should attempt this repair. The corbels have been reinforced with a block of wood each side and the case has been refinished. This clock runs, "hums" the quarters and strikes the hour every 15 min.
